Why should athletes do YOGA?

One of the most effective things a young athlete can do to improve their performance is YOGA and stretching!

YOGA CAN:

  • Improve flexibility and prevents injury.

  • Lengthens major muscle groups while strengthening small, stabilizing muscles

  • Increases body awareness, balance and control.

  • Improve range of motion

  • Reduce stiffness and relieves soreness

With deep stretching and yoga comes an opportunity to practice breath-work and mindfulness. Whether you’re calming yourself before a game, or searching for the strength to finish a long run, breath is an athletes most important too!

 

Rates & Class Options

Single Personalized Session [$65]:

  • 30-minute guided yoga session at your teams’ practice site.

  • Handouts with pictures and stretch description tailored to your sport and your teams’ individualized needs.

  • Up to 20 team members.

Team Building Studio Session [$100]

  • 60 minute studio class at Shine On Yoga in the Morrow Arts Center.

  • Team building yoga and partner poses/stretches.

  • Breathing exercises and introduction to meditation.

  • Up to 20 team members.

Elite Team Package [$325]

  • Four 30-minute guided yoga sessions at your teams’ practice site

  • Handouts with pictures and stretch description tailored to your sport and teams’ individualized needs.

  • 60 minute studio class at Shine On Yoga in the Morrow Arts Center for team building, partner poses, and breathing exercises.

  • Up to 20 team members.
